Girl’s Empowerment
When does feminine power begin?
At what age does a girl become aware of her gifts and abilities?
When does she start to value her body, believe in herself, and feel confident in her truth?
Some rare girls leave the womb wielding their power, while others may spend a lifetime developing it.
Of course, we can start empowering our girls on Day One of their lives by imparting positive messages to build their self-esteem and abilities.
I believe there’s a supremely important time when our guidance can accelerate a girl’s awareness of her mind, body, and divine gifts as the sources of her power.
At the onset of her first period.
And what better time to program a girl with affirmative insights about her divine feminine force than at the doorway to her most radical transformation?
But what do we tell them?
Most girls learn about their periods from sex ed class, girlfriends, or moms, and this information is usually pretty clinical. And while it’s important for a girl to know about her body, it’s not very inspiring and often arouses dread and fear. After all, who wants to see the blood from their eroding uterus every month?
But girls are more than just physical bodies. They’re mystical beings of spirit, intelligence, and energy. What if we could teach our girls to appreciate the magic and power within them? What if we had a new language about menstruation that positions their periods differently, so that girls feel empowered by their periods, rather than fearful of them?
I offer a book to help girls understand the mystery of their periods and the divine gifts that come forth with it. A fantasy adventure that reframes periods from something dreadful to a symbol of feminine pride and power.
Red Diamond Sisters Club.
Red Diamond Sisters Club tells a story of Mia and her friends who meet Priestess Uma to learn the Secrets of their Moon Time Magic. Each secret reveals an aspect of the girls’ inner magic and delivers mind-expanding messages that will guide them through life. A dazzling ceremony crystallizes their power and initiates them into a supportive sisterhood. The girls step out into the world with a newfound appreciation for their periods and themselves.
The book is filled with magic and metaphors and is steeped in women’s ancient history, eastern energy concepts, and common sense. It’s entertaining and informative, and most of all, it introduces girls to positive messages that they don’t hear anywhere else.
I hope that girls will enjoy and gain value from the story, whether they’re yet to start menstruation or have been bleeding for years. It’s never too early or late to learn about the power of our period!
Moms can use Red Diamond Sisters Club as a guide so they may talk with their daughters about their periods. It can also act as a template for ceremonies to celebrate their own daughters’ periods.
The time to empower our girls is now. We need to plant the seeds that will help our girls appreciate all aspects of themselves and instill high self-esteem. We need our girls to become the positive forces that will help guide our planet to peace, love, and equality.
I hope that Red Diamond Sisters Club helps.
